Polygone is a multidisciplinary critical journal founded in 2019 by six young architects from different French schools of architecture.
The journal is a place of expressions, debates and reflexions on Architecture, Art and Society.
Rooted in the contemporary, Polygone is confronting the opinions, struggles and actions from a new generation with multiple historical approaches. Polygone offers the opportunity to what we call the “unpredictable people” to express themselves. The inaugural issue explores the connection between piracy, architecture and society.
A multitude of articles lights up the pirate’s historical figure through the current event’s prism, by presenting new territories, news booties and new vessels.
The first editorial project includes about thirty contributions divided into six chapters over 320 pages. It has been the seat of protean exploration navigating between photography, sociology, literature, illustration, landscaping, philosophy, architecture and design.
The editorial project has also been the subject of an article in the issue 290 of the architectural journal AM.
The journal is already present in Parisian bookshops like Palais de Tokyo, Centre Pompidou, Bourse du Commerce, Ofr, Yvon Lambert, Volume, Centre culturel Suisse, La Galerie d’Architecture, Le Cabanon, La Friche, Le Monte en l’Air, Tschann, Le Genre Urbain as well as in the bookshop of the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles. The bookshop Imbernon in the Cité Radieuse has also acquired 5 issues.
Also wishing to go beyond borders, Polygone will be soon available in Brussels at the bookshop of the CIVA foundation, at Peinture Fraiche also as well as in other cultural places in Switzerland and Luxembourg.

Following the idea that Culture is living without borders, we hope that a collaboration could be born.
